Why start yet another blog?

With so many blogs in the world why one more? Given the fact I already spend too much time online, why add another discraction?

Well, I recently accepted a job with the Alberta government, working directly with the Executive Council (I work directly for the cabinet, not any department). Given that I didn't vote from our current ruling party this gives me much to think and talk about, but since I also deal with the public I am supposed to remain non-partisan.

My goal, therefore, is to express my views here in a more indirect and hopefully annonymous way. This will do me good, as I feel the need to express my views, and hopefully it will prevent me from saying anything stupid at work and getting in trouble.

So let the blog begin.
